MUSEO REFRACTARIO
This project acts as a site museum which tells the story of an abandoned building in the middle of the capital. I was originally invited to create an intervention inside the building, but when beginning to inquire about the place, I realized that I needed to develop a project that would explore and narrate the story of the building. A chaotic and dissimilar past that housed a mix of anarchist groups with community lifestyles, police persecutions, abandonment, dictatorship, medical services, military raids, and political and student organizations. The work is a walk through the history of a building and its community, which turns into a stroll through our own history. And when digging through the foundations, we find that it is also the way of the present.

MUSEO REFRACTARIO
Este proyecto se plantea como un museo de sitio, el cual busca narrar la historia de un edificio abandonado en pleno centro de la capital. En un principio fui invitado para realizar una intervención dentro del edificio, pero al comenzar a indagar sobre el pasado del lugar, me di cuenta que lo único que podía hacer era desarrollar un proyecto que explorara el edificio y narrara su historia. Un pasado disímil y caótico en el que se mezclan grupos anarquistas y vida comunitaria, persecuciones policiales, abandono, servicios médicos, dictadura y allanamientos militares, y organizaciones políticas y estudiantiles. Se trata de un paseo por la historia de un edificio y su barrio, pero que se transforma en un recorrido por nuestra propia historia, donde al escarbar en los cimientos, se revela también la forma de nuestro presente.
