LA VOZ SIN VOZ
This project starts from an invitation to intervene the facade of the Ministry of Cultures in the city of Valparaíso, within a cycle that reflected on issues of gender, inclusion and disability. My first approach was to generate a series of banners that simulate a "take" within the ministry, as a way to demonstrate the lack of spaces that exist within the institutional framework to address this type of conflict. It was important for me that the result did not seem like an "artistic" intervention but rather a real doubt about the institutional situation. The second point was to determine what would be written about the banners, and since it did not seem appropriate for me to do it myself, I decided to hold a series of Political Slogans Writing Workshops within schools that were part of the school integration program (PIE), where students with and without disabilities share the classrooms indiscriminately. Each workshop produced the text that would be written on one of the canvases, which were hung progressively as each new workshop was carried out.

Este proyecto parte desde una invitación para intervenir la fachada del Ministerio de las Culturas en la ciudad de Valparaíso, dentro de un ciclo que reflexionaba en torno a problemáticas de género, inclusión y habilidades distintas. Mi primer aproximación fue la de generar una serie de pendones que simularan una “toma” dentro del ministerio, como una forma de evidenciar la falta de espacios que existen dentro de la institucionalidad para abordar este tipo de conflictos. Resultaba importante para mi el hecho de que el resultado no pareciera una intervención “artística” sino generar una duda real frente a la situación institucional. El segundo punto era determinar qué se escribiría sobre los pendones, y como tampoco me parecía adecuado hacerlo por mi mismo, decidí realizar una serie de Talleres de Escritura de Consignas Políticas al interior de escuelas que fueran parte del programa de integración escolar (PIE), donde alumnxs con y sin discapacidades comparten las aulas indistintamente. Cada taller realizado generaba el texto que se escribiría en uno de los lienzos, los cuales se colgaban progresivamente en la medida que se realizaba cada nuevo taller.
